Default ss inductions - worth the do$h?

ss inductions claim better fuel economy, better throttle response and a 7rwkw increase in power at $315. is this worth that ammount when an au xr intake can be found at around $55 with unknown increses? does anyone know the increse (if any) if an au intake is fitted to an ef?

with leads, filter and snorkel you would be lucky to get 7kws at the fly let alone at the the wheels.

tickford snorkel is good enough.

The question- is ss worth it
The answer - No.

The Tickford snorkel looks very similar to the ss one anyway.

Not much gain but it all ads up. Nowhere near what they claim though, you can check but you'll never get what they claim on any dyno in the world with even remotely similar conditions.

it will probably depend on the model the snorkle came from/designed for. not sure tho...

AU Tickford snorkel onto EF airbox plugs straight in no problems. You will need to punch some new holes in above the radiator to screw it in. Don't puncture the radiator.
