Question any good IBL ideas?

I'm a mech eng. student and I'm completely lost for good IBL ideas! I want to be involved in automotive engineering, but no-one worth talking to wants to talk to me! suggestions anyone?

Ford has a massive Co-Op student program which runs for 12 months. Perhaps start looking at that? I'm sure other car companies do too, such as Holden and Toyota. Perhaps even their suppliers might too.
