I have NEVER EVER been drunk, never drunken any alcohol (and dont plan to ever), also never done any drugs (except panadol but then hardly ever i think last time i had one was 8 months ago).
Oh yeah might as well add i will be twenty on the 21st, so instead of 16 never been kissed ill be 20 never been drunk!!!

Everyone has the right to make decisions, and stick to them, just cause you dont drink or have never had a drink, you are not weird at all.

You are not missing out on much really, you probably have just as much laughing at your mates when they are drunk as they are laughing being drunk

*meh*. There's more to life than booze mate. Sure, getting drunk is fun but it's a temporary state of mind.

Drugs were fun when i was a teenager, but *meh*. Not half as fun as being straight as an arrow and putting a superchargeed V8 around a few corners though.

Unusual to have never touched booze? Yes. Weird? Not at all.

For all the Puritans above, simply put, just because you start to drink alcohol, does not automatically mean you MUST get fall down drunk. I'm a home brewer, if I wanted to I could get drunk every hour of the day for a month before I ran out.

There is more to beers and wines and spirits then simply the alcohol. Its an entire world of culinary wonders you have not sampled. If you wish to be ignorant of them, feel free, but I would rather delight in the variety of life, then limit myself to what I mistakenly tell myself is safe.

Best times of my life have been fueled by booze.. Oh the memories.....

I'm a person who believes you can't have a good time without booze. But thats my personal opinion.

Its takes a strong will to keep out of that stuff at your age, so well done ! Have to be respected for your choice !

I just recently had a great time up at Bathurst fueled by Booze.
See thread http://206.225.84.45/showthread.php?t=23818

You are not a freak, some people just don't enjoy drinking and some do.

I just got back from a 5 day bender in Shanghai.... the way I'm feeling today, i wish I was in your shoes...
If it doesn't worry you then keep it up, the money I'd have saved if I never touched the stuff I can only dream about now....
I wish I didn't drink as much, but it sometimes depends on your social scene / work relationship etc... if you don't want to drink, then don't.

Happy days!

you know when you go out and drink you think a disco or night club is just the best . and you have a great time with a belly full of ****. and then you go next week and you are a designated driver . so you don't drink and the place seems shiiiithouse.
well when i drink now those places still seem shiiiithouse . so things change over time really.

Yeah I know what you mean. I haven't been out in ages. I find myself either just goin to my mates house for a few beers or just to the local sports club. I can't remember the last time I went out on the town. Damn I'm an old man at the age of 18 and 11 months lol.

I still remember when having a huge p*ssup at a mates house was the thing to do and nothing could beat it. Well now that things have changed its just plain boring. I now believe that you can get enough of something.

I turn 19 in about 3 weeks and it seems that after college the fun certainly almost disappears. I still drink every week but it's more to just unwind than "because it's fun".

You begin to realize once you have responsibilities that there are more things that are of a higher priority than getting smashed.

Whilst I'm not saying you should rely on alcohol for good/fun times, I think it's good to sometimes let go and be silly with your friends/family/whoever. I myself love a good drink and like tasting different beers (me and a mate went through a slab of Red Backs last night, quite a good drop!) and we often just crap on to the early hours of the morning. But bloody hell I woke up feeling like crap today :( Sometimes it's just feeling more comfortable and sharing more with your friends that brings you closer.

In saying that, if you are happy about not drinking/getting drunk, good on you and stick to it!

I am a dedicated social drinker . Wont drink at home except for a few with the wife at dinner. You ask a few mates around to sit and talk/play cards etc, "not bad" do the same and indulge in a few and it becomes party time, biggest problem you have then, is gettin rid of them.

Try it and arrive at your own conclusion, you only live once ,

All I can say mate is if you believe in something, then stick to it. Go with your gut feelings but also be flexible. Just because you believe in not drinking or smoking now, doesn't mean you won't change... and the trick is to not be hard on yourself if you do change, because change is a part of life

I for one used to drink much more than I do now... after a while, getting pished is not as exciting as it used to be and after throwing up too often you start to wonder exactly what you are doing to your body.

So now I just drink a bit, never to excess because it's just not worth it. I like the little buzz you get and it's relaxing... and you get a bit more fearless. Having said that, ideas you would not normally consider good ones while sober suddenly become FABULOUS and you act on them immediately :
