Default Plates have arrived

As the title suggests, i got my custom plates today. Ordered my them about two weeks ago but they hadn't arrived yet. I got a little frustrated when I found out Dave orderd his about 3 days after me and got his in under a week. Last night I then found a 2 week old, half snail eaten note that told me I needed to come pick my package up from the post office :P

Today i went down, and luckily for me they still had them as they said they were about to send them back to Vic roads

Anyways, enough chat, here's some pics. I'll let you guys figure out what they say....

Let me know what yous think

Also I've seen Dave's secret plates - I saw his car on the Princes Hwy.

Heh, i suppose the whole point was so you couldn't read them easily :P

Riveted the steel LPG badges on today, i tell ya it didn't feel right drilling into brand new plates :P Thing that upset me is that their is fVck all room on the slimline plates to put the badge on, and unfortunately it partially covers the "I" in "VIC" :(. The full sized ones for the rear look good but the front slimlines look kinda dodged now, Oh well :p.

(for those of you who don't know, it is a legal requirement to have the LPG plates riveted to your plates if the gas installation was done post '99, before that you only needed a sticker)

Really? I allways assumed you only got stickers. Do LPG places sell the plates?

Yeh they got them. Vic roads sell them aswell ($2.50 each). They are basically a peice of square metal with a hole through it that you rivet on. Then you get the normal LPG sticker and stick it over. Vicroads told me this is a requirement so that if your car was on fire and the sticker had melted away, the firebrigade would still be able to see the metal plate and therefore know if it had gas installed...
