Default F1 Tint (20% with 35%)

Hi guys, just booked my EF Fairmont in for a re-tint at tint a car and was wondering what % tint you guys have fitted to your E-whatevers. Its being fitted with F1 tint all round (35%) but i'm considering fitting 20% on the rear in an attempt to darken the cabin a little as the rear window is quite large. Basically what i'm after is a good compromise between dark and light. Is there a substancial difference between 20% and 35% and has anyone done similar before?? Pics would be good if possible. Thanks in advance.
Anthony

20% is prety dark, and illegal, I would only go 35% which is the limit.

as i said, i can recall many times being pulled over, and not once being questioned about darkness, or how low my car was or how loud, they only cared about tyres.

and chich it has been done before, but on the back instead of 20, AMBO tint!!! lol

Being 20% it can make it hard to see push bikes and kids on the road at night.

I know I'd rather have something that is legall so that if the cop's did pull me over I will not get a canary, if this did happen with the 20% tint you will have to pull it off and then you will be out of pocket, keep it legal and enjoy driving, it is also very dangerous at night.

I've got 35% and wouldn't want any darker at night, as it is it's hard enough to see animals etc on the side of the road. It might bel a bit bright at daytime, but its better then hitting a poor kid on a bike or something like galaxy xr8 said.

i have 20% on my ea. I found nno problems. It was done by tint a car. And if you ask them nicely they put darkest legal on the reciept. So if you get pulled over you can show the cops. It's a win win situation. Your happy and tint a car are happy. Here is a pic.

I'm going to disagree with you there. There's no way in hell that tint is 20%. I've got 20's on mine - its far far darker than that.

I think tint-a-car stooged you mate.

OT - I'm really happy with my 20% (its an expensive brand, "Endurance") Same as anything, you get what you pay for. I paid $400, and it was worth it.

It looks black at night (like limo tint) and during the day you can barely see inside, but from the interior its pretty good. I only have difficulty seeing out if its a really dark night; if there is no moon.

you cant see inside from the outside even on a 35 degree day with sun shining right onto the window. its pretty damn handy when your having a perve! LOL

Thanks for the info and pics guys. By the way.. tint a car will happily fit 20% tint however you have to sign a disclaimer stipulating that you understand its illegal. By the sounds of it i'll just go 35% all round - sounds like a good compromise. The car is artic blue so having the windows pitch black probably wouldn't suit anyway...
Someone earlier in the thread asked about pricing... $345 for the F1 tint and $50 for removal.

In SA (at least, although I believe the laws are the same across Australia) The darkest legal on side windows in front of the driver is 75%, not 35%, which is almost transparent...

I have 32% endurance on my car, it has metal filming so it has a mirror sinish to it, I've never been hassled by cops, although if I ever get it replaced, I will get 28%.

Got the 35% F1 tint fitted all round this afternoon and I must say it is a very good compromise between drakness and transperancy. Darker than what I had before which was supposedly darkest legal however it may have faded over time. Lets hope this time the bastard doesn't start laminating!!
