Default au head on ea block...yes? no?

firstly can it be done hassle free? secondly will an au xr6 head yield more benefits than an e-series one?

Yes and Yes, go for it, use an AU metal head gasket and new head bolts, enjoy.

the only thing i would think is will the EA computer be able to run the AU XR6 well enough, im not sure how big the cam is but i assume alot bigger than what the EA comp was ever designed for.

would that be a problem?

The EA cam is technically a big cam anyway, so it should cope, otherwsie source an XR ECU will make it go nicely.

Default EL head is beter

from what im told the AU head has smaller ports and valves so do it the other way round use a AU block (had a better crank) and a EL head as it flows more

thats what im told and use a JMM multi layer steel head gaskit , thin giving bit more compression

thats my 2 cents
