Default Brock on enough rope

Just saw an interveiw on Andrew Denton with Brock, very interesting, he still thinks the polariser works but didn't have $750,000 to prove it :nutsycuck
He's dumped Bev & she's not handling it to well ....
It was a very good interview, but poor old Pete is still a little confused..: :

Peter is an interesting and insightful person although I don't always agree with his perspective on things. He's never been one of my favourite personalities, but you have to respect the bloke for his determination and courage.

When asked about Ford, he didn't bag the brand much like Larry Perkins does. Not sure how Volvo will feel about some of his comments however..lol

hmm Ive heard soem dodgey dodgey things about that man including women and trailers in the pits; but thats best left alone i think.

Interesting indeed, and certainly self centered; but most successful people are.

It was a great interview, but then all of Denton's are brilliant. He really knows how to push an interviewee without scaring them off.

Sounds like Bev got what was coming to her, stupid bi.... hey hey!

Came across as a very stubborn man - he still wouldnt admit that the polarizer was a failure for him. Lol, that Monaro add was brilliant. What i wouldnt give for thick locks of hair like the old brocky. Hehehe

I'd hate to see what he'd think of her if he ever read her biography. The word commodity was used well to describe some of his activities.

Quite a good interview I thought. I would have liked Denton to have pushed a bit harder on the Energy Polarizer, but I understand why he held back.

I do admire Brock for his "live your own life & don't worry about what others think" type of attitude though.

Larry I hate with a passion. I can't believe how hard he used to campaign against the Ford teams.

Anybody who has had sunshine blown up their **** for that long is bound to become self centered. I am glad he never won that 10th Bathurst that so many people wanted to give to him.

Denton could interview a grain of sand and i would watch, i think he held back because he normaaly can ask the questions others cant .Still a good interview but i have always had one huge beef with FORD . HOLDEN can put Brock on a pedastal but what about Moff and other FORD legends we dont look after our own that good

Has anyone else read the biography? It sounds interesting but is it worth reading?

I thought she was his wife but they're getting a divorce? Anyway, the bottom line is that they're not together anymore.

i think thats pathetic, unless she bought half the stuff in the house then she shouldn't be entilted to it, this thing did that to my stepdad, never paid for anything, never worked and 6 months after living with him, she got half of everything he owned, he owned, not her, i don't know how the justice system allow's this sort of thing to go on, its bullshi1t

Don't discount the work a lot of women do to take care of the houseand family. Couples make decisions about how the workload will be split and if one of them ends up doing the majority of their share of the work inside the house that doesn't mean they didn't contribute just as much to the household. Without a partner to do the domestic things a lot of people couldn't succeed as much as they have.

As a tin top driver he's one of the best Australia has produced.
But I've heard stories of him being a wife basher on Michelle Downs and with the VL polariser I think he started to lose his marbles.
Then decide after all these years that he spent with Bev as a couple she was not the one for him.
Middle age and being a man & if there is younger women throwing themselves at him and most men are shallow creatures. They succume to male weakness.
He's not the 1st or last, but a lot of family social net work & history are hard to throw away after so many years

If you are a fan of Brock, you'll probably finally understand who was partly responsible for some of the more "out there" ideas. Personal opinion only, but after reading the book, Bev came across to be manipulative and controlling of Brock.
Look for the book in the bargin bins or even a good second hand book shop. Don't pay the recommened price for it, it's not that good of a read. (after all, it is her biography)
