Yeah I know another exhaust thread ing_sm
I got a 2.5' exhaust fitted about 3 or so months ago. Pretty happy with it at first. Just a prob or two! When around 68-80 it goes really loud and doesn't go fast at all. Also When I really give it some, it loses it's nice pur and sounds crappy lol hard to explain. Maybe I need a hotdog or extractors to fix the 'crappy noise' or resonator to fix the dull droney noise. What do you guys recommend? Thanks heaps!

Hmmmmmmm....DONT get a bloody hotdog!itll droooone like mad over 60 kays(i have a single one on a 3 inch lukey system and i wouldnt recommend it)
heres your BEST bet.....set of pacemaker competition headers (700 bux fitted).....normal cat...into 2 and a half inch with a lukey "ultraflow" straight through sports muffler...itll still be loud but hell smoother than a dog!trust me....WOOF! p.s price on that exhaust set up...around 400 bux fitted

Running a redback 'straight through' muffler. Headers would sound mad on an 8. Hopefully would clean up the sound alot for my 6 . Gunna look into headers/possible reso. Good combination guys?

headers generally will give you a beefier, most probably louder so to speak sound...
if droning is the problem, chuck a resonator on the back and see how it sounds.. hotdog really isnt enough...

Droning is the main problemo. Planting the foot and get a weak, almost an aplogetic sound from the exhaust is the other! Beefier the better some might say?

Booked in to get a rear straight through reso for $80 fitted down Middleton's in Geelong. The guy thinks because it's got soo much piping from the cat to the rear muffler it will drone. Sounded like he knew what he was on about.
