Hi all! Newbie to the forum here.
Just wanted to know if any of you kind ladies and gentlemen would give me a suggestion as to which *Independent* Ford (Euro) specialist in NORTHERN suburbs of Melbourne, that you have used before and would recommend? My 2010 LV TDCi is up to 90,000 kms service, and my usual workshop doesn't deal with the PowerShift service at the interval; I rang around in my immediate vicinity and as soon as I mention 'Diesel' and 'Euro', most of them just ran in the opposite direction. Any help would be much appreciated! |

I'm not from VIC, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to advise.
However the PowerShift service intervals are every 60,000km, not 90,000. |

Well, as to the 60,000 PowerShift service, I am not sure - on a similar thread the guys are suggesting that this is the case for MONDEO, but not for a Focus? I know they are the same unit but when I looked into my service schedule, it doesn't mention anything about 'replacement' (fluid) service, only 'top ups' if necessary or in the case of leakage? Anyhow, this is the reason why I want a specialist FORD service centre, since the rest of them don't even seem to have seen a diesel in their entire lives. Thanks again! |

Yup, the book is wrong... Mine says doesn't need a service but they need to be done every 60. Ford charge around 450 for tranny service alone.
My powershift has started developing a severe vibration / shake at 66k and of course the response was that it's normal. You don't want to hear what I responded with.... They are now looking into it further.

Sydney dealership.... When you say North Melb make sure you don't go too far North.
When my car is hopefully fixed and out of my hair believe me you will know which dealer it is...

Essendon Ford are really good, I trust them with all my warranty work.
Check out Bush Inn Motors in Gisborne, a short cruise down the Calder Highway, they do the servicing on my 2010 LV TDCI Focus, mine is manual though. |

As in, don't take the wrong way - I truly feel for you when things like that happen. Similar experience (though less serious) with my Octavia RS... Hope it's all fixed for you! |

Yeah I've been having my LV serviced down in the bush for a while - I go to a reputable one and as it is so often the case, bush mechanics tend to be more HONEST - not sure about a better job, but the last thing they want is for the word to get out saying that they are lyging sc*m bags. If that happens, they can forget about getting another client for the rest of their days in a small town... Cheers! |

He has a lot of experience with Ford products, and is a Ford fanboy which helps but not just specialising in Ford, he will do anything.

I used to go to Uni at Bendigo and had a g/f from Kyneton (I know, not much to shout about LOL), so I know the area reasonably well. Thanks again! |
