Default Door Open warning playing up

Hi

Thought I would ask you guys for advice, the wife's MB Mondeo XR5's door open warning indicator and chime comes on intermittently even when the door is closed.

She gets in the car and closes the door, starts the car and the warning is displays, she then opens the door and then closes it and it removes the warning.

Anyone else had this issue and if so how was it fixed.

She also had issues locking car no flashing indicators when locking, she then opens the drivers door and then closes and then is able to lock the car.

Cheers
Bill

I don't have the magical answer for you, but the doors not locking will be a by product of the car thinking a door is open.

I'm sure it's a dodgy door switch or something, but how you switch them out, I'm not sure.

Good luck,

Dan
