I've got a Focus LV CL '09, and I've always wondered why it sounds as though it doesn't want to kick over straight away on a first start in the morning. Once the car is warm you can start it without the struggle no problems. The car kicks over on the first go however it doesn't do it fast, there is a rumble in the front end as it kicks over. Two of the rear engine mounts have been replaced by the dealer for another issue. This problem has been evident before and after the change. I've mentioned the issue to the dealer before however they have told me there is nothing abnormal when starting it cold.
Should I be looking into an injector clean or better still replacement? Would this usually help? Starter motor? I've heard it completely fixes the problem of slow starting. |

I assume this is the same issue and poster as on Whirlpool.
Get your battery tested, and if it fails the test, buy a new one. The Motorcraft battery in my Focus died at around 45000km/18 months. |
