Hi Guys,
Looks like its time to think about getting some new rotors and brakes for the LS. Read through some old threads in which people got RDA or DBA slotted rotors for around 100 a end, just called the local bursons and they quoted over 200 each for each front and 170 for each rear. Has anyone gotten any better pricing lately? Do not want race type pads, just something similar to stock or a little better, any ideas? |

I got all mine through Race Brakes Sydney - they are a site sponsor.
They supplied and fitted, but they do deliver. I ended up going RDA Slotted and EBC Green stuff pads for the front, but give them a buzz, they are really helpful!

Shop around. A couple of weeks ago i replaced the front disc rotors on my wife's Citroen Xsara. Repco quoted $248 each Virtually $500 for both. went to another local parts place and was quoted $130 each for DBA rotors. A significant difference.

That is a pretty good price, can you install yourself? It is pretty easy if you are handy with a spanner?

Anyone here have an idea on how much EBC greens are an improvement over stock pads? When my LV is up for replacement I'm going greens and maybe bigger rotors.

Big Damo, EBC Greenstuff are a great improvement over stock, once they warm up a bit they have excellent stopping power, I can definitely vouch for this.
Just a word of warning, DBA Slotted + EBC Greenstuff pads can be noisy on the rear. They simply do not get up to operating heat and take ages to bed in. Apparently this does not happen with RDA slotted. |

Sounds good, might be a go-er for the greens on the front, what are they like when they arent warm? I do about 100km worth of driving a day to and from work so I might not need to worry about this issue anyways. |

Yeah I've just changed to EBC Ultimax on the back, which is their OEM replacement pad.
When the greens aren't warm they're still fine. They're just better than OEM when hot! |
