Hi all. First time user! Have just bought a sweet 2004 Focus LX from Auctions. CD / radio is displaying "Locked" - won't let me access any menu to enter the reset code. Auction house doesn't want to know about it. Local Ford dealer advised removal of unit to send to Melbourne (from Brisbane) for unlocking, at a cost of $150. Can ANYONE pass on any alternatives to this? Grateful for any thoughts from Ford Gurus!

The code can be reset by any Ford Dealer with a WDS/IDS/PDS unit and the usual charge for doing so is about $50.
Cheers Russ

If you radio is showing 'LOCKED 10' simply hold down the button 6 on your radio whilst switching your radio on, this will give you 3 extra attempts to enter the code to activate your ford radio. If it's showing "LOCKED 13" too late and only the dealer can solve it'
