Default V8 sump plug thread size?

As the title suggests, can anyone please help me with the correct thread size of the windsor sump plug out of the AU?

Thanks in advance,

I've changed the oil in mine every 7,500 klm's, done it myself from new and I've used the original sump plug since day one.
I just changed the oil on the weekend before last actually.
Just don't over do them, they have a washer under them, they don't need to be done up extra tight.

Well, you take it to a dealership just once........ they must have done it up with a rattle gun, it was that tight.

And that's one reason why I don't take it to a dealership.

This was not the case for my AU Windsor. The sump plug was 1/2", not 12mm

Moroso 97001 (Nylon washer) or 97002 (copper washer) fit my car. I'd only use a copper washer on a cast alloy finish so I recommend the 97001. $20 on eBay. It comes with a smaller, 3/4" hex head.
