this came about from me missing an event I would have loved to go to.
ever thought of SMS alerts regarding cruises/meets. sometimes you miss a thread or forget about it, especially if your email notification is off or not subscribed to a thread. think of how many more people could roll up to big events with recepients forwarding them to mates etc.... this here site could grow even more. just a thought.... |

Mmm it's a good idea but costly- smsing might seem cheap but costs add up

If events are added to the calendar - which they should be - then you can request an email reminder for that event. A lot of them don't get put there which is half the issue.

if cost is an issue perhaps set it up for the recipient to pay .50¢ everytime they receive an sms and AFF to pay 0.0
