Wow, great find! I'm going to purchase a pair for the T.

NOT

I'd assume you could pick up an XR front for less.

Those have been around for a while and look horrible on the AU in my opinion. The too-wide photo of the AU on that website only makes it worse! True XR only.

I know that out there, somewhere, somebody will like this mod...

But IMHO, as far as hideous mods go, this has to be up there!!! lol

I don't think they look too bad would work out cheaper than a full XR front and not as good looking as the XR gear but better than standard AU light by a long shot

Why don't you just get these off Ebay (plenty on all the time)

They look similar and at least they're not cut off on the bottom (they only cost me $200..) some on Ebay atm for $300... still better than $750

only problem with them is if you use anything other than a standard headlight globe the reflectors don't last long. i remember a thread mechan1k had about melting reflectors with different globes from getting too hot. apparently the aim on them was crap too, although this may be ok now...it was a while ago..

Its a series one bar and damaged. $50 bucks would be a good deal for it.

The original globes/fittings from the standard light slot straight in, you don't have to do anything, takes like 5 mins to swap the lights. The aim is fine on low, however high beams shoot a little high. Because of the way the smaller circle reflectors channel the light people often think I have my high beams on when I'm on low beam setting... you wouldn't want to put anything brighter in there.

No no no no no! Sorry but if you're going to do it, go the full hack and try to pick up an XR front bar for a reasonable price. Mind you that's only my opinion :
