Default Street racing kills elderly couple

Evil game claims innocent lives
WTF. When will people learn? Racing in the streets, braking so hard your tyres explode??!!! I hope they get what they deserve.

Sounds like somebody needs to learn every bus route in their city for the rest of their lives.

Somebody not fit for the road ever.

They better start praising local transport, or they're not going to get anywhere.

Still no charges laid according to smh HERE

A tragic loss of life no doubt, but at the moment I haven't read anything to suggest they were "street racing".

What a tragic story. 50 years of marriage to be killed by bogans driving Holdens. I hope they get what they deserve.

Those are the idiots who give car enthusiasts a bad name.

Thoughts go out to the family of the victims and may the drivers of the Commodores never be allowed near the drivers seat again.

I jsut read in todays paper about one of the girls killed in the drag racing car. Sixteen years old and already pulled over at least three times for driving without a licence. But not charged!?! Then two days before this accident she took her mothers car for a joy ride and rolled that. Wasnt even wearing a seat belt during this crash and was thrown from the car before dying.

I am speechless as the immense stupidity of this girl. I know she has gone, but seriously, I am so angry that such a stupid young idiot that has been in trouble previously has learnt nothing and now killed other people on the way. She paid the ultimate price, but it shouldnt have taken killing other people and herself to do it.

you watch them get off easy!
our court system sucks!
they should be charged with some sort of murder charge...
plain and simple they killed 2 ppl.
But knowing old ppl they prob misjudged the speed of the two cars...
its a bit wierd how the police havn't charged the two "drag" racers instantly.

I’m sorry, but I see this from another angle. Yes, it was a tragic accident, don’t get me wrong, but there is another factor in this accident…

But on Sunday evening they were killed just minutes from their home when their car was struck by two others on the Great Western Highway. Police suspect the vehicles were involved in an illegal street race just before 6.30pm.

The couple had been driving along the highway and were hit when they tried to turn right.
They tried to turn right? The lady in the Camry turned in front of the 2 cars, causing the crash. The guys in the 2 Commodores didn’t lose control of their cars, the lady turned in front of them. Perhaps there should be a review of elderly drivers driving at night.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t condone street racing, but there is a lot more to take into consideration with this incident. More than what the pathetic media wants highlight.

As I said in the other thread on this, they probably haven't charged them yet because they don't have enough evidence to do so. They probably will be once the cops figure out just what happened.
