Default alloy tailshafts on au?

Do all au's have an alloy tailshaft guys?

As far as I know Stav, yes.

I have an e seires steel unit on my SR, a little heavier.

But, I'm not an expert on these issues. Others will be able to confirm this I'm sure.

They're all made of alloy of some description lol.

The ones with the higher speed rating went into the XR sedans and SWB T Series.

Ok mine is from an eb solid steel and I think its time to get rid of it

ditto! mine is rusty as well on an S1 forte auto.

I think only XRs gor the alloy tailshaft.

it's deffinently not solid. but i would keep it man, stronger then alloy. there was a guy on here or fordmods who's alloy shaft just blew out the back of the car in 2 pieces.

Not sure in any of the LWB vehicles got Alloy tailshafts ... I don't think the XR utes got them ... do to them being longer than the sedan .. and hence the utes having the speed limiter in place as well.

The Pursuit 250 had a 2-piece shaft in though ... and no speed limiter. Although used a different yoke into the diff from memory.

If wanting to go more than the speed limiter ... I suggest a custom tailshaft that can handle it.
