Default The latest addition to the family!

Hi everyone,

New (ish) member to this Forum just saying Hello!

Got my 2.0Ltr Zetec in March this year and still can't get the smile off my face each time I take her out for a spin. Even just the ride to work and back. In fact, thats the hi-lights of the day !!

She's a Red, 3 door maual, pretty much standard equipment, except body kit (which may have been a standard fit in Oz ?) and a K & N filter. BUT, I do have plans for her.

the previous LR model had 3 door models...ford is currently assessing the possibility of adding the 3 door, estate/wagon and diesel variants if sales get stronger.

I don't think I'd like 3 door anyway. Too lazy to move to let people in the back and when they get in they always scuff the seats and sides. 5 door makes it look less like a little car too

LR Focus CL was 1.8 litre in manual and 2 litre in auto (and LX? ), Zetec was 2 litre with different state of tune.

Astra diesel is here next month (1.9litre fuel economy of 4.8l/100km estimated) and they already have the 3 door and wagon.

So the fact that the there were 600 more focii sold than astras last month and there is only ONE focus variant (5 door) in comparison to holdens FOUR astra variants (5 door, 3 door, wagon, convertible) is pretty damn good, its looking good for focus.

i meant st in europe is xr5t in aussie land. too bad we dont get the 3 door variant...

and yes i dont see why ford shouldnt hold out much longer on adding more variants to the focus lineup. if they added the wagons, diesel and 3 doors, focus sales could surpass mazda3 and might claw some sales from the popular yet boring corolla.

I think they're referring to the new shape focus, where there are no 3 door variants in australia

The old focus had 3 and 5 door versions and 1.8L and 2.0L versions. The Zetec was 2L either auto or manual. The CL was 1.8L.
