I wouldn't touch them. Too much of a risk. One rod breaks and it's bye, bye engine.

Yeah - Chinese.

It's too early for me to recommend the brand, but about 4 months ago I used a set of their cam adjusters & chain / tensioner /guides in a Mercedes C200. So far all good. The decision really came down to using their parts or scrapping the car for parts. Genuine parts were pretty much financially unrealistic.

The parts seem fine - the cam adjusters surely can't be worse than the OEM ones, which I think were made from hardened swiss cheese. If we get another 3 or 4 years (30-40K kms) out of the car it was a good decision.

Brave or stupid - time will tell.
