Wrong.
18"s are the biggest wheel that you can fit on a Fiesta. Even then you will suffer from rubbing and such. 19"S wont go without big mods. Its what every site I've researched it on has said. So 19"s? In short. No.

17"s are easily done as are 16"s.

Heres my 2 cents

17s Yes upto 35mm drop
18s Yes upto 15mm drop
19s No for the everyday person. Could possibly be done if all 4 inner guards are taken out with big ubderbody work and have a very very low profile tyre.

I currently got 17s with 215/40R17 and the rear inner guards had to be pulled back as there was rubbing. If i do want to lower the car i would have to take the rear ones out and maybe the front.

Personally i wouldn't go past 17inch. But 19inch has been done before but it needed guard work, what kind i don't know.

If you go with 17 inch rims, use a 205/40R17 tyre, then theres no problems with clearance, and they're the right diameter, mine don't touch anywhere even after I dropped it 30mm. Theres a few aftermarket wheels around, but not too much choice in styles, I got lucky and got mine when they were on a clearance special.
BTW whereabouts are you located?

I have 17s with 205/40R17 rubber as well with no rubbing whatsoever. Biggest hassle I found was it was a very limited choice available with the offset that the Fiesta has. Although it shares this offset with the new Focus so there should be some more choices there. I also found that my car is about 20mm from bcoming an open wheeler, so wheels and tyres that are much wider may require a bit of guard work.

I never got a chance to drive my car on the standard wheel and tyre package so I don't know the actual difference in NVH, but I've found my 17s to be quite acceptable, especially for any gains in lateral grip I should have gotten.

Not if you keep the overall diameter of the tyre the same, in Qld the law requires you to keep within 25mm lower/ 15mm taller than standard,
195/50R15 = 577mm
205/40R17 = 596mm
195/40R17 = 588mm

BUT since there is no 195/40R17's avaliable in australia, the 205's are the best fit. My speedo reads a little low ie:100kph I think I'm actually doing about 105kph.

Also I think my tyres are actually quieter than the standard bridgestones

19's will fit if you can a rim in 19x7 with a pcd 108 and blah blah blah

so theyre few and far between, and tyres to fit the car will most likely be even harder to find

if youre looking for 19's for performance increases, then you're dreaming, youre better off sticking with 17's, 18's would be too heavy and adversely affect unsprung weight.

I agree, I'm even doubtful about performance gains between 16's and 17's. (If only they did'nt look so much better)

The offset is huge, +52 from standard, you got the stud pattern right though.

there was no rubbing on my car with 18s... in the end how bout u go to someone with 19s and try them and see for yourself... reading up on the net on what can and cant be done is sometimes useful... but its better for u to see for yourself.

18s will fit no problems... WITHOUT and trouble. trust me cos i had em.

I agree, had three ppl in a zetec with 18's and didn't rub once during "vigourous" test drive, correct offset and width are the main factors + sidewall profile
