Exclamation XR6T & XR6Tickford

ok ... this may sound really stupic but i just wanna confirm what i think is right ! , as others have said all sorts ... from what i know the XR6T in the xr6 with factory turbo , and the XR6 Tickford ( with white and red T badge on front 1//4 panels ) - which is just a standard XR6 with a few extra Tickford goodies ( slighht increase over standard xrs engine etc etc ) , and T on the interior dash speedo etc etc ....

Is this correct ???

Any model from BA onwards is classed under the FPV model range (some models)
Tickford actually finished with AUIII ... so any XR6 with the Tickford badges is pre-BA turbo models.

I think thats what's you are trying to understand .. I hope.

XR6t is BA onwards and they are talking about the Turbo. All other XRs from EB to AU were built by Tickford, so they are all XR Tickfords. All BA onwards XRs are just Fords. FPV (replacement for Tickford) now build GTs, F6s, Pursuits etc.

ahhh cool , np , that clears that up a bit, so from what u are saying too is that a few of the cars that look like xr's that i have seen about with no Tickford badging on the front quaters and standard dash without the 'T' in the background - have all just been standard AU's made to look like xr's huh ....hmmmm ( changed headlights and added rear wing etc etc ) ..??

no. not all XR's had tickford badging. and what do you mean my dash? do you mean instrument cluster?

i cant really fill you in why some xr's have tickford badging, and other's dont. but my guess, is the ones with badges were optioned with the tickford parts.

well mine has none of that ! - and it has the badges and the T on the cluster and also the T badge on the front of the engine block ( infront of the rocker cover ) , i only got those 16" star spoke shaped silver factory mags , the brakes are crap , none of the momo gear and no sunroof , its the VCT i have. I though from what i heard the I6 tickford engine had a few extra kw, and was allso really just the front end design (the twin headlights) that got it its tickford stamp of approval/name ( like the tickfords they used to race ) ... i don't know here , im really trying to sort this out - also EVERY dark metallic AUII XR6 i have seen has had red xr6 badges and a red pinstripe - all the xr6 bages on mine are silver ( same design as the xr6 auII badges but silver ) - also has silver pinstripe , none of the stuff looks modded , all looks original to me ???? . .. have a look a the pics of my car if u wanna have a look .. I have read that many different things now that sometimes i wonder if it is modded or original ! .. )

All XRs put out by Tickford came with Tickford badges. Badges differed in colour dependin on car colour. Red badges on Blue, black and green models. Black on Red & White models etc. Badge colouring means nothing.

Some XRs came out with the T wings on the cluster (mine doesn't but that's because I have police spec dash).

If you had any options fitted by tickford over stock, you will have a Tickford plate under the bonnet on the RHS guard listing the "options" (17s, Momo etc).

As for engine specs for AUs:
Stock non-XR 157kw
XR HP 164kw
XR VCT 172kw
Non-XR VCT (fairmont etc) 168kw (different exhaust)
AU1 XR8 185kw
AU2 XR8 200kw (went to 220 late in AU2 model life)
AU3 XR8 220kw
AU3 Pursuit ute (classed as an XR cos it has the XR front) 250kw
