Default HELP with removing boot trim

Hi everyone, I am a proud new owner of Mk 7 fiesta CL. I recently bought a set of rear view camera (number plate mounted) to install in my car.

But I have problems trying to remove the hatch trim plastic. Can anyone help?

I found three screws, 2 at sides, 1 at handle. After removing these, do I just "pull" out the plastic? I am afraid of breaking the trim.

I have done it. It's a while ago now.

I thought I might break the thing, but it came off - almost unscathed. The reason is that I had not noticed little plastic things holding the big plastic part to the body. So they were sheared right off!

When I replaced it, it fitted fine. There were no visible signs of the damage I had done.

I thought it unnecessary to tell the wife about this, for some reason. It's her car.

Hi thanks for the reply. Which part of the plastic did you start prying off? We're the broken plastics covered inside the bug trim?

It's a while ago, like I said. From memory I had to slightly lift the part of the large plastic thing just inside the boot.

The broken parts certainly were covered when I put everything back.
