yeah, most of the time it is recommended not to switch between fuels unless the car is off as its possible it'll stall.
the other thing people may tell u to do is change fuels @ 3000rpm, sorta another preventative for stalling.
going from petrol to LPG is generally worse then the other way because the LPG has to go through the converter before it gets to the mixer ring, bit of a delay, petrol is sitting right behind the injectors as it is.

my boss has had his 95 EF wagon on gas pretty much from new and he has had no problems with it - it seriously lasted to 250,000k before needing the head done - which i beleive is very good for an e series! I SAY GO GAS!

im on my 2nd eseries with gas, and 3rd system

1st car had gas, was good cheap car. never had gas issues, but kept ignition system maintained.

my current car, had a really old gas system and was not bad for a little, then i ripped it out, and went gas research, and loving it!

'anyonegot gas?' Yes, i had two cans of baked beans and have been emitting gas all day!!

Seriously though i've had LPG for 4 years now on my EF and there have been no major issues. The only thing you have to pay attention to is changing the leads and spark plugs regularly. Having dual fuel and running on LPG does have a small performance decrease on my vehicle.
