Default Smoking in cars.. grrrrr

Ok, First this has nothing to do with the smoking debate... each to thier own.
However...
It peeves me off to no end when people sell a car and have it detailed to get rid of that smoke smell in the car.
Then after a week the nice fresh scent of air freshner goes and you can literally smell the stink of cigerettes in the upholstry and carpets.
Makes me damn well want to vomit.
So, please guys, I beg you... be considerate and don't smoke in your cars.
The guy who buys your car will thankyou and it will be easier to sell.

My 2 cents.

I supose people shouldn't drive their cars either because it only increase the mileage for the next owner. Get real.

Sure. I won't smoke, just in case you want to buy my car.

Do you have a list of things were are/aren't allowed to do in OUR cars just in case you want to buy it?

whilst I am a keen advocate of non smoking (reformed smoker of 30 plus years) and am dead against smoking in cars for so many reasons I'm afraid I must agree with ute83

the vehicle belongs to the purchaser......if he or she wishes to make it into an ashtray and live like that then so be it

whats next ...........we have people knocking on house doors to see if they have vacuumed and dusted
today

disgusting as it may be......their choice I'm afraid

I have always thought that people can do whatever they want with their cars as long as they are willing to suffer when it is time to re-sell.

I will do whatever I want with my car and if someone doesn't like that when it's time to sell, then they won't buy it, big deal.

I guess I should have gotten a silver car because it's better for resale, I should get it serviced at the dealer too, maybe I should avoid driving it too keep the km's down to improve resale too...

If you want the brand new car smell you are going to have to fork out and buy a brand new car.
