gday Guys,
I have got hold of some carbon fibre vinyl and will be popping this on in the next couple of days around the stereo fascia. How hard is it to remove just the fascia or am I better off just sticking it over and cutting out everything with it still intact? Its an LS if that makes any difference Cheers Chris

I don't know personally, but how much did you get it for? I've seen the pre-cut carbon fibre things for several hundred and wanted but really it's not worth that much for the surrounding of your stereo.

I am replacing my radio on my LV with an aftermarket chinese unit, and as part of my homework looking into this, I did come across a couple of video's on You Tube - though had a quick seach and didnt see the one i was looking at, though there were others there that may help. I would be inclined to remove it to cover it properly...it will get a much better job and probably be quicker in the long run.
Here is an ebay link that may help - its a video, while its more focused (pun intended) on radio replacement, it does show that in order to get the fascia off, you need to remove the radio, which requires the little knive things you slot in. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EONON-D51...item1c1d3da51e Last edited by LordFordNZ; 29-09-2011 at 08:14 AM. |

Yep, remove the CD player with stereo removal keys (at your door for less than AU$5.00). Have done mine, would be much neater job to remove than to apply with the fascia still fitted.
