How many KM are you doing Josh? I did the 100km 2 years ago, I'm keen to do the 250km but am too unfit this year. ;(

I thought everyone in here hated cyclists??

Mate if you can cover 70k's easily, you can do the 150 no problems!

The last ATB I did was 2 years ago.. I was about 10k out of Queenscliff when a peleton overtook our group and clipped our leader... Boy was it messy!
Since then I have stuck to the smaller rides; like the Otway classic, King Lake ride and Amy Gillette ride.

I believe there are photographers along the route, but this is my first so don't take it as gospel

I had a good day overall - went clockwise direction and we had a huge tailwind coming back from Geelong to Melb which was fun..effortless 35kph and up to 45 at some points. Copped a little bit if light rain on the way through dromana and coming into geelong but apart from that and being a bit chilly the weather was ok. Had no flat tyres/mechanical issues and didnt see any stacks or near misses so was a good day...was a nice ride for my 10th ATB

I'm tired!

I did the sorrento to Melb ride, got rained on a few times, strong head wind near Kerford rd which slowed quite a few people down to almost a walk, but no mechanical issues, I passed more people than I got passed

Left at 8.00 had a toilet break in dromana before the hills another in frankton and then had a 10-15 minute stop around brighton way the stretch my back, finished at 11.50, pretty happy at that.

Ordered some new tyres the week before last, due to a tear in my rear, was going from 25's to 23's, guess what, they arrived today

The wife did the 50 lm ride, secretly I was hoping to get there about the same time as she did, but it did not happen....

.. I had to wait an hour for her

good stuff guys

i did the 100km ride from sorrento to melbourne, started at 8 also, got a puncture around the 30km mark, 10 mins to fix, stopped for lunch in moordialloc at the 70km mark for 20 mins, finished around 12.20

the wind and rain were terrible for a while there, but we got through it

Was it a blood bath with numpties crashing left right and centre? That is what it was like when I last did it around 15 years ago and I vowed never to ride it again.
