Rim colour choices

Looks good against a bright red.

I did my adrenalins in the same colour and they looked pretty ordinary against maroon (Barossa Red).
Made the car look dirty. They sit in the shed waiting for inspiration (mine).

There was a really good how-to (I think from the US) regarding red rim on black wheel. I had a look but couldn't find the one I was looking for.
Would look good on yours, methinks...

Thanks Tibbo. LOL! I have some tyre shine - I'll apply it next time I wash the car (once it stops raining here!).

I've just ordered a set of black nuts for it, so there goes that advantage!

urbancowboy - The VHT stuff is very easy to work with. It's around $17 to $20 a can at autobarns etc, but well worth it.

HLC - the oiled bronze I was going to use, but chicked out of, was Rustoleum brand, but essentially the same as Killrust, and needs no primer. in the end, it was actually the shininess of it that worried me more than the colour.

vctxr6ute - no worries; I figured as much, hence my attempt at humourous reply. Get a S2/3 XR8; you won't regret it.

Ron - there's a product now that pretty much clips on and has 3 year warranty. It's $49 for a pair though (so $100 for all 4 wheels), but something I would have considered prior to painting them. Still, a couple of hours work, $2 for a variety of grades of sandpaper, and $38 for paint, is definitely worth it - they look like a new set of wheels and I don't have to look at the massive gutter rash every time I get into it!
