Cory - yeah this should get my anus into gear with the exhaust and cam.

Wiggy - Nah mate, I got the xcal1 I believe. Just the box with flashing diodes.

i wouldnt be too concerned till you have talked to your tuner.

Quite correct Daz. I think the remaining number of dongles will be extremely well gaurded and sort after.

This hasn't happened before. Last time was our warning that they were going to do it, and what the ramifications will be once it does happen.

Can I ask, is there any word that this will eventually happen to the xcal2 & 3 in the future?

Possibly, but Id say it will be a long way off. Xcal 3 is the latest SCT software, Xcal 1 has been around for like 10 years.

I see, so eventually SCT will do the same for the xcal3. Gotcha.

Im not 100% sure if my tuner has any 'hits' left, I will call him to confirm, failing that, I better get on the band wagon for the latest one. There goes another $600.

i have a 200kw windsor, 3 inch single exhaust, i think they are stock pursuit extractors, high flow panel filter, iridiums, n will get 9mm leads and MSD coils..

is there much gain in a xcal 3 ? (i run shell 98RON).. KW speaking. without doing any further mods. Safe tunes only.

cheers.

Im sure there would be gains, including fuel consumption. The best thing is the features like gear shift points/hardness, economy tunes, performance tunes, etc, you can do it all and with a 3 minute flash go from one to the other, making it really handy if you cant get 98, or your going on a long trip and are after economy etc.

Everything works better with a tune. But you're right, do the bolt ons first and you won't have to worry about going back for more tuning
