its going to be suggested sooner or later.
MPFI conversion, even the LPG will gain power with the extra manifold space.

I guess you were too slow CRUZIN EB!

You could probably get all the parts needed for the conversion second hand for around $200-$300, a mechanic would probably charge a fortun to do it for you and wouldn't know what he's doing anyway.

I've got a bare EA MPI manifold you can have for $10. :P

Since no one else has said it, a short diff ratio will improve your bottom end.

That seems a bit high, you could have a cam and exhaust for that!

Their is enough info and resources on here to help you do the conversion yourself. Do a search and you'll find more than enough topics outlining how to do it.

www.fordtech.com

check a wrecker for parts...

get the inlet manifold, including fuel rail, injectors, loom etc...
should be ok with CFI dizzy,
Get MPFI Fuel Pump and ECU also,
and also airbox and piping, unless your planning on running a Pod filter or similar?

I had no idea what I was doing and I pulled it off.

Hey Guys, I'm new here. i've just a couple of questions. Any answers much appreciated. I've got a 89 EA Ghia, with a LSD diff and i can't get it to do a stand still on petrol or gas, in the wet or dry! i've got pacemaker extractors,2 1/2 inch high flow cat,and a bmc air filter and soon to have a 2 1/2 right through. Is there something wrong with my car, or do i just not have enough power? thx all

Welcome, you will most likely need to start with your diff as the ratio is probably too tall. Also check your throttle cable is not stretched.

Default El Head

Putting the head off an El onto an ea block will probably make it go slower! The EL heads had a much greater dome in them thats why ef el pistons had such a small dish in them. Unless you're going to put acl race pistons (or somthing similar) with a shallow dish in them the el head will do you no good!
