Default BA/BF seats into AU

Hey guys sorry if this has been covered before but I've been looking at buying some BA/BF xr seats to go into my AU ute.
I was just wondering whether they would be hard to fit. Would they be a straight bolt in kind of thing? If not, what mods would be required? Is it hard to do?

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers, Brent.

Has been discussed and has been done but not a matter of just a straight swap as the BA seats are different to the AU.

Have a read through this ... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ba+interior+au

well iirc, you must must modify the seat rails to fit them in, this would require an engineers certificate, or it would be illegal, but yeh it would be possible with a bit of elbow grease! ;)

Sorry .......

Frames & seats are different but ...... as this thread shows, they do fit with a bit of swapping. One thing I will add though, with tampering of seats may require an engineers certificate.

thanks for that guys and yes I know about the legality issues with modifying seat rails etc.. the info about the rails needing modifications is what I was after. I was hoping it would just be a matter of putting the AU rails onto the BA seats. Looks like I'm just going to have to figure out what to do with them once I get the seats.

Has anyone on here actually done the swap themselves??

Cheers, Brent.
