Angry Head Lights and Head Light Fuse in EL

Just wondering two things, in an EL falcon, where is the fuse for the headlights located... I have located the fuses for the reverse lights, stop lights, cabin lights, parking lights.... yet I can't find a fuse for the headlights... checked every fuse in the fuse box, and under the bonnet, so I'm a bit stuck.

My problem lies in the fact that I have gone through about three head light globes in the last six months, it's not always the same side that blows, and there doesn't seem to be an apparent trigger that i can see, that is it doesnt occur say, after I have washed the car, or when I flash my high beams etc... is rather odd.

Currently I have hoped that a good quality globe will improve my situation, I am using phillips blue laser H1's (55w), but my last remaining idea is that the fuse currently installed is above the rated limit...

Anyone else have this problem?

Have you touched the glass when installing the bulbs? The oil on your skin will overheat the bulbs.
And what bulbs have you used? Those cheap 'blue' type ones always die rapidly.

i am always extremely careful not to touch the glass of the bulb, i have used cheaper blue globes beofre, like the ones u get fo $30 a pair at super cheap, they lasted a month, but the last set were narva arctics, which were around 20 dollars a globe... are they still considered to be cheap?

anyway, any other suggestions, 'cause i am going to be ****ED if these bulbs blow, i picked the phillips up on sale at autobarn, were 89.99 reduced to 54.99...

anyone on the location of a possible fuse?

There isn't a fuse as such. Its a circuit breaker located in the engine bay. On EB - ED it was under the battery near the relays. I imagine it would be in the same area on an ef/l. I guess the main reason for the circuit breaker is that it resets.

I don't think that would be your problem tho. Do your headlights leak water?

Headlight Circuit breakers do give a lot of trouble but also, have you checked the Relays? Just never know. They can be a problem. Most people think that they just blow out and you put a new one in but I have seen them fuse inside and cause problems. Once I remember one doing to the lights what yours is?
