Default New rims on the xr8!

Hey all, well been spending bit more money on the xr8 and one of these mods were some new wheels and getting it lowered to suit. I always wanted 20's and after looking for ages i came across these and loved em! so thought id pull my finger out and chuck a couple pics up sorry bout the crappy camera phone quality.. cant beat the look of it in the flesh tho. Hope ya like them!

Cheers Chris

The AU XR dual light front end and body kit is probably the best out of ALL the XRs ever made imho

rims are a bit too much show car style for my liking, but they suit the car in a weird way.

thumbs up for a different style to what everyone else puts on there car though.

Indeed! ;) And sticks out in the range now, e series have similarities, and ba/bf look the same, and each group kinda looks dated. But the Au is timeless.... Everyone who called it the ugly duckling of the falcons.... Didnt they know- In time it'll be remebered as the beautiful swan! lol :

I agree with others in that it does look odd but strangely attractive. Nice work.

I'll be keeping my eye out for that one!

Hey, come along to the Daylesford cruise meet on July 11. Would love to see it in the metal and you can see how they handle in the twisties.

I'm gona go againt's the trend here and say, to the person that started this thread, this is not by anyway personal, but I don't like them rim's at all, they look like they belong on a commodore with wings or a ricer with sticker's all over it, but then again I have never understood the new trends on vehicles these day's.

Thanks all for the feedback! And to those who aren't fans thats fine i take no offence at all as everyone has diffirent tastes just as im not a fan of many mods and the personal styles of many other peoples cars here and out of forums.
I like them because there different and because there not a rim I see around at every 2nd servo or carpark lol.. they suit the car/colour alot better than the chrome versions of the wheel too.

Ditto. And no offence intended, but they are awful, IMO.

Your car, your rims, though - enjoy.

i pretyt much agree with everyone, they arent my style of wheel, and they looks strange with the car, but it has some sort of appeal which looks really good together!

also not my thing. however the more you look at it the more appealing they become, in a bizarre and truly disturbing kind of way.

thumbs up for going out on a limb though, different is good. Beats me and my generic rims.
