Default Turbo Blades on an EL Fairmont

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My old man today told me i was stupid to waste money on new wheels and said if i hated the factory el fairmont rims so much he would be prepared to do a straight swap for a set of good condition turbo blades of his EBII fairmont sedan. Thay r a nice looking wheel any one seen eF & EL with these rims? any opinions would be great.

here r some pics of the two cars?

Why not swap them over and take a photo side-on? Shouldn't take too long :Reverend:

Turbo blades don't look good on EF/ELs. They don't look great on X-series Falcons either, they are really only suited to the EA-ED shape imo.

I agree, just swapping both of them on one side would show you how it looks and then you could decide what you think

My Grandfathers EF had turbo blades on. I don't think it looked that bad. And my mother's XD has them as well, but she doesn't look after the car, so the whole thing looks wrong.

a lady at my work used to have an EF with turbo blades on it. it didnt really suit too well at all.

Having said that i've got a set of turbo blades in the garage that i'll put on if the need arises lol.

There's a mint ZL with turbo blades that I see around Morwell. It's an odd car, because it looks slightly lowered (maybe?) and has tinted windows (again, maybe?), but has a sun visor :

The wheels suit the car, it looks great! Except the visor... But it's growing on me

'blades look great on late Xseries like XE/XF IMO. They look wrong on a EF/EL
