I just want to know what the hell this part I have circled in this pic is?

What does it do?

You mean the alloy tube running from the firewall forward?

I believe it contains the aircond refrigerant - just follow the tube and see what it's attached to.

Good, my airbox mod is back on the cards.

Edit - Gonna say it at the risk of sounding like an absolute dick... How? Do I need to move anything? :

You should see the bolt holes, 2 at the top, 2 at the bottom near the head light, that holds the airbox in place, everything will just fit (unless someone really stuffed things around, but I doubt it)

The a/c gas line, is where it has been since it rolled of the Ford production line

Im pretty sure i have a bit of black plastic/rubber tubing attached to mine that sort of looks taped down. Whats up with that? Is that where condensation would drip to?

Yes, I know it's looks rusty. But thing is, no overheating problems yet. So, don't fix what ain't broken. That's just the colour of the container.
