I own one of these tickford xr6's with double rear spoiler (top spoiler in black fibreglass) and have a question for those in the know
Was this double spoiler an option for xr6 hp's and all other sedans Was it available with top spoiler in body color) Was the double spoiler and option with the single spoiler standard. How many AU1 98-99 Tickford XR6's (not hp's) and XR8's with double spoiler were produced I saw a 98 or 99 AU1 forte sedan (galaxy) with this double spoiler fitted with top spoiler painted Very annoyed that this spoiler is on a forte. My first AU was a brand new august 98 forte (galaxy blue) with single rear spoiler and only got the tickford in sep 2004 when the 6 year old forte got written off

I have the brochure for the series 1 au which shows a silver Forte with full body kit and 17" XR wheels.Can't find it to check options for sure but from memory you could option all that on anything.Must option sports suspension with 17" wheels.

GTH82 is correct on that. Double spoiler and Tickford body kit was pretty much available for all AU sedans, not just XR6 VCT's and 8's.
Each to their own really, much like Tickford badging on non Tickford cars lol.

I had the biplane spolier on my galaxy XR6, and the top was body coloured. I sold it (the spoiler) to a fellow Forum member who would have upset some other members by fitting it to a Forte - personally I reckon his car looked great!
AFAIK, the bi-plane was only available on XRs. You could definitely order the Tickford kit for any car in the range, but I'm 90% sure that only the XRs were given the bi-plane - other models just got the lower (single) rear spoiler.

Ive also got my au xr 1 with the upper spoiler in the galaxy blue body colour looks heaps better i reckon :Reverend:

Yeah mine looks like its almost like a carbon fibre (kinda) finish. If it was painted in the silhouette like the rest of the car I reckon it'd look way better.

Im thinking about swapping mine for an AWC carbon fibre.. Got a few other things to do first though

I think they look alot better body colored too... Either that, or just fit it onto a Black xr6, then you don't have to worry about painting it :P
I've been thinking about putting one on my AUII, but i'm not too sure... As I prefer the look of the Series II wing (the sharper edged one with the higher legs) Decisions, decisions...

I realise this thread is rather old but important interested in knowing whether i could remove the top tier of a bi plane spoiler and attach it to the single spoiler on my series one tickford fairmont. cheers
