Not the correct shell (nitro, and doesnt match the wheels)
But it was 'cheap'

That wheel tyre combo looks the goods DJM.

Need a set of road tyres for my Mojave, as the bitumen has taken its toll on my stockies.

Ran the Mojave this morning on the tweaked #4 tune. The thing is ridiculous now & running the servo + 3 fans on 8.4v has really sped them up & brought down the temp more.
Temp is lower than on the softer tune & un-bagged.

Fully flogged run time is down to 20mins, although heavy, glad i went with the 6500 batteries. Could alter how far they run down, but best practice as is!

Need new tyres!

Some new parts arrived, namely new wheels/tyres and some drive shafts.
Still awaiting the shell, although im hesitant to use it as it wasnt cheap (not the same as in the picture, but Ken Block shells are hard to get for obvious reasons) so i might sort something cheaper and keep the new one in the bag (yes im one of those) wheels were much the same but are marginally easier to get.

What my kid did with his drift rc was magnetic body mounts. So you cut the posts down and pin the magnet to the post and sticky back the other to the shell. It cleans up the look over posts and body pins, but annoyingly yeah, the shell pops off with minor impacts which does protect the shell to a degree but does kind of get annoying.

Im sure you could paint the wheels if you are diehard enough to unmount the tyres and such. But from experience, even re gluing tyres that came unglued never goes too well.

Believe me id have bought some if priced right. I still might.
Shell itself was not much change from 400$

Wheels and tyres on it are Genuine HPI. They are from the same car but coupled with the Ford WRC shell.

And i couldnt find that, but i wanted a Ken Block shell anyway

Ideally id have bought the proper shell and wheels for it, but good luck finding them. Theres rare and there those!

Drive shaft & lower links work & as expected changing to 4 from 3 link with pan-hard bar, requires a little custom work..... single upper link mounted off-centre, but that & a new 4th one will mount on diff, requiring to new ones 5mm longer than the original.
Was gonna source everything & make a couple of links, but found a whole set from another model cheaper & easier.
Will be better with 4 links, with no need for the pan-hard & able to mount the steering servo on axle, instead of chassis..... better direct steering power & 0 bump steer, not that the latter was a problem. Basically front suspension will cycle straight up & down, rather than through an arc.

Fitting the rear will-would be easy, with just the link ball-ends needing changing over.
