Is it just a matter of getting the fuel out, undoing the filter and taking it off, then just whack the new one on?

just a matter of undoing the lines and swapping it over quick and avoid getting fuel on yourself, I like to turn the key to the on then off positon a few times to re-prime the fuel line, then start it and make sure no leaks, all good.

Take out the fuel pump fuse, then turn the engine over a few times to get the fuel out of the line, then go for it.

i learnt the hard way and had to buy a new hose cause the rubber hose attached to the top of the fuel filter needs the thumb clips to be pressed in quite hard(ford use a tool to do it) then it will pop off smoothly.

I think AU's have two types of fuel filters. Non IRS and IRS types. Great fun to change aswell. Hope you like the smell of petrol!
