Paul

I can add numbers

322 Advertised on eBay may 2001. Excellent condition.
051 Advertised on Victoria car sales. $13.5k may 1998
058 mine and alive and well.

I'm sure there is one in an old street machine that was painted black with t-tops. I will dig it out and post the number.

I remember a cobra being dismantled in Warren Cullens(ex race car driver) wrecking yard on Mahoneys road Thomastown in the early 80's and from memory it was #110

G'day all, I went to the "Hanging Rock " car show on the weekend and had a look at 2 Cobras. One was No 385 (I think a 4.9), & the other, No 230. I think I have taken photos of both. I will post them up when I find out how to download them of my new phone!!!!
Cheers Rob.

I did my Apprenticeship at Jarvis Ford in Adelaide and we had one on the used car lot in 1987. It was one of the Option 97 vehicles, I can clearly remember the reverse bonnet scoop, shock tower braces etc and was number 25 or 27, cannot remember exactly. It was parked in the workshop everynight and I used to rush to work in the mornings so I could be the one to drive it out!
I heard that not long after we sold it it was side swiped by a truck.

Default Bathurst Cobras

This may sound like a stupid question but which ones were the actual ones raced at Bathurst? Or are these "Unnumbered" factory specials in addition to the 400 Cobras produced for road use?
I'm sorry if this has already been covered somewhere else but I can't seem to find anything.
There is Alan Moffats XC in the Museum at Bathurst which intrigues me. Is it a Cobra or just a Falcon GS. There is no Cobra Badge on the Glovebox.
I'm very curious about this car at the museum.

Thanks

Wayne

Pretty sure the car at the museum that won in 1977 is actually an XB with updated sheet metal and dash. This thread might hold the answer, but since Baby Preecey has just started waking up I don't have time to read it myself. Nappies to change lol --->http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ht=race+coupes

#29 is alive and well. #25 is unaccounted for. well at least on this thread. Could it be #25 was the one that was sideswiped by a truck and not survived??

Oh yeah! I remember reading that term in a few of my old American Mopar mags.

For a second I thought it was prespex.

315 lives about 10 minutes down the road from me. Guy drives it in rush hour traffic sometimes! Had 5.8 badges on the guards too.. should be 4.9 I thought?

this is the (unfortunately numbered) Cobra 186
The car was loaded with everything good 351 ps , air , steer , leather race seat in the front , 4 speed & a 3.55 rear diff. Photo from the very late 1980's

had very low km ~ 25k's on it & was a pleasure to drive

Now owned by someone else , I hope they are taking good care of it.
