I've had many of them over the years.Even bought a couple brand new ones years ago.

Currently a 198000 km EB XR8 and a 215000 km EF XR6 wagon bought S/H-daily drivers

Love -
The RIGHT size.
Brilliant forward vision.
Great handlers with minimum modification.
Really tough interiors-good quality-both ours unmarked no wear and tear.
Easy to work on.
All good lookers if well kept and on nice wheels
Good highway cars-very comfortable and eat up the miles

Hate-
Dizzy under intake manifold on 6 cylinders

Thats it.

Love:
Handling can be made brilliant
No throttle lag
Interior wins me over, I'd buy a T series if it had an E series dash in it......
Cast iron V8....It's nearly indestructable!
It's got all the comforts without going too technical, keeps things easy to fix/mod.

Hate:
Has anyone noticed that the EF's drivers seat sits a little to the left of the steering wheel? The two i've had both have it.........

Pros:
Easy to work on
Abundant cheap spare parts
Look good just lowered with wheels
Good feel and feedback from steering
Doesnt grab attention from MrPlod

Cons:
Doesnt grab attention from other car enthusiasts unless it has a wild colour paint or various other line destroying add-ons
Thirsty in city traffic
Seats are too high
hard to jack up the rear end when on superlows

pah vt poo.
My el ghia, love it, dont love the crappy repair job done by a halfbaked panel beater at some stage in its life.

love the sound of it.

dont like the handbrake or the undersized braking system in general it was funny enough in a lighter ea let alone 10 years later unchanged...

EL II XR8

Love;
Power
Sleek
Simple yet so effective

Hate;
The Ones that have a sunroof are way to close to the drivers head. I soon as I sat in it I wasnt sure if I could buy it simply because of that.
The drivers seat doesnt go forward enough to teach my Mrs how to drive manual...
