I hate snakes and dont know why anyone would want them as pets. Do they actually like you and play with you? Or are they just for show? No offense I just thought it is programmed into everyone to hate snakes and run the other way when they see one and come back with a shovel.

Love creepy crawlies! That is a good question though, can they become affectionate?

Why do you hate snakes?? It is because of people being uneducated about them witch makes them think they are all so bad!! More people die each year from cows than snakes yet nobody is scared of a cow go figure lol

95% of people that try to kill a snake are the ones who end up bitten.. There is not a snake in Australia that would even bother chasing you lol that is just another stupid mith.. If you do see a snake just leave it and it will just travel through

I understand that people do not like snakes but there are plenty of things I don't like in the world but I don't go around killing them lol

They would be the best pets we have and we have heaps of animals Goats sheep dogs lizard's turtle's etc

There is just somthing about them that we love and have well over 40 snakes lol

No they don't become affectionate LOL they do however become tolerant of you and don't mined being handled for short periods of time so they are more of a look but don't touch animal and need to be respected

What I fined funny is that we as Australians live in a country that has some of the world most amazing animals yet no one is educated on them

We may be uneducated on them, but knowing that if some totally unpredictable, super angry, super scary looking animal can and probably will bite me and kill me from that bite from me not doing anything to them, thats enough for me to hate them. Do you get their fangs chopped off so they cant bite you?

Even Bear Grylls hates snakes. If someone as awesome as Bear Grylls hates snakes, then how is someone like me not even on the same unit of measure as Bear Grylls possibly going to be OK with them. If you dont know who Bear Grylls is, he's the coolest toughest guy on earth, cooler than Chuck Norris.

Well, I still wouldnt be very happy waking up to one curled up next to me in bed. So if they go to bite you then what happens, seeing as they have fangs or teeth, itd be like hitting your finger on a desk?

"If people felt misled on how the first series was represented, I'm really sorry for that," Grylls told the BBC. "

First series, hence why noone watches the first series. You cant change what he does in front of the camera mate, if he takes a motel at night, I dont care, Ive seen him make some pretty sick as jungle beds where a motel would be a downgrade anyway. Im kicking myself that I missed the special where it shows how hard it is on the camera guys.

Sorry mate, much dislike for snakes, they might not attack me but they have killed 2 horses and a dog of mine. But all times was a brown snake. Brown snakes will attack humans, aggressive little... grrr I just hate snakes sorry, dont see the pleasure of feeding live animals to snakes either.

Whatever floats your boat I say, quite an impressive collection you have there but it's not something I'd have as pet. I would be paranoid that it would get out at night and come and strangle you LOL

LOL, That show is so awsome!

As for the snakes, I love looking at them, and you have some fantastic pictures there . But when it comes to being near one or anything like that, I run a 100miles :( . My major Phobia

i had a NT water python for 3 years, he was a great pet unfortunately he died about 8 months ago at about 5 Y.O, from what i suspect were some dodgy mice, i had started getting them from another pet store about 3 weeks before he died. I found one in his hide cave when cleaning out the vivarium and he had obviously thrown up the one i fed him before he died.
Was very disappointed and have been hesitant to get another as im not feeling confident about my ability to look after another after not noticing something was wrong with Zeus before it was too late.

the day i got him

and about a year ago

sorry bout the quality just the old camera phone unfortunately

I have kept pythons for many years but now only have 2 childrens pythons. I love your GTP (as opposed to a FPV GTP) lovely python. I am surprised to see you have a green tree snake out on the grass, they are fast buggers and in my experience if it tried to run off I would never catch it.

Not sure about current prices but you can if you have a handy $6,000 or more which was the price several years ago.
