Wild idea but has anybody modified one of the EcoBoost Falcons to get more power? Perhaps the EcoBoost engine into a XR sedan?

What benefit would you get from fitting an EB engine to an XR chassis? Wouldnt you just modify an EcoBoost in its current chassis, ie G6?

Ecoboost 2.3, plus some mods should be close to 300kw.
Might run high 12s? G6 ecoboost is only 1670kg, about 200kg lighter than my Sprint.

Because then you would have a G4 instead of a XR4!

Its a good P plater weapon I reckon. They used to be $2600, now they're just shy of $4000: https://gcg.com.au/borg-warner-efr-t...efr179150.html You'd have to be pretty passionate about 1-3-4-2 to bother with this Garrett GBC22-350 would get close, at significantly cheaper price point: https://golebysparts.au/products/gar...t-896055-5003s https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing...ine-gbc22-350/ Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 04-05-2024 at 12:02 AM. |

Why not? Modify the EcoBoost to get more power and have a lighter car with a lot less weight on the front end meaning better handling.
