Default External fuel pump install

Would anyone on here know how to hook up the wiring for an external bosch 044 fuel pump to work in place of the standard fuel pump in the AU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brett

My only question would be why? There are a lot of better options than a noisy, bulky 044 when it comes to high volume pumps these days...

I'm using the 2nd pump on this list:

It really doesn't matter about the noise. It will be getting used for racing purposes.

I stick by my view that there are better in tank pumps nowadays than running an 044.... It's like the Holley Blue of the efi world...

Look I am sure you are right and if it was my daily drive I probably would take your advise. But what I am doing is using the pump in a racing application and a bit of whirring noise from the pump won't really worry me.

What I was really after was seeing if any other members on here had fitted one to their AU so I could see what was done and do the same.

Do you have a wiring diagram for that setup you have there Dazzler?. Bit hard to tell in the pics where the wires are coming from. But what you have there is exactly what I want to do.

std fuel pump bucket is still in place , being a ute it should be straight forward without a surge tank you can just mount the bosche pump anywhere solid ...

power is from ignition source as per factory....

You are more than welcome to pop over and check it out...

Heck we can even remove it ?

mate stick a Walbro 255 in the tank, you need to mod the fuel pump housing slightly however it is very simple and you end up with a very quiet pump (only the initial prime makes noise). These pumps are good for big power!
