Hi Guys,
I just replaced the original Stereo Cassette player with a Pioneer CD tuner. The new device works fine but now the taillights, the standlights and the illumination of the instruments board are not working anymore. I checked the fuses and found a damaged one. After replacing it and switching the light on it blowed again and again . . . I disconneced the new CD tuner but the problem is still there. Does anybody has an idea what this could be and how to solve it? Thanks in advance Regards, purzel |

Listennn. When you removed the standard stereo you have either jammed the cigarette lighter light wires to a dead short...or I dont remember 100% but you may have connected the old illumination wire to the new radio and it will just keep blowing.Pull the radio out and recheck every wire or loom you have touched.the light circuit is shorted to earth.

Hi there,
that's exacly what happens, I connected the old illumination wire to the new radio. I disconnected it and found some circuit plans in this formum which included information the the colours (black is ground and brown the old illumination). Now everything is fine. Cheers purzel |
