Default Re: climate control

sounds like the circuit tape from the screen to the circuit board is coming loose. The tape is glued to the board and it has a tendency to fail over time. There are a couple of fixes for this. One is to send it to a guy in Melbourne I think and hell re-glue it for you for about $150. He offers a 12 month warranty and most people say it has worked for them but I bought one from a 3rd party that had been done and it failed on me after 6 months. Or you can dismantle the climate control unit and press the tape with a moderately hot iron and soften the glue and hopefully reset it. This can work for a while but you'll wind up back where you started eventually or you can have a go at what I just did today with your old one and see if it works for you like it has worked for me. You'll find out what I did in THIS thread.

Cheers

Also make sure all the globes are working properly, ive got an issue with the trip comp being quite dim compared to the climate, on closer inspection they look like twin filament globes and one filament is busted......hard to explain, but yeah, lights up, just very poorly.

One more thing to add to the list to fix one day.....
