Default Interesting “Speed kills” video.

This video was made in Canada and it seems that they have the same issues over there that we have here. The title of the video is "Speed Kills Your Pocketbook". Even though the video is well made, I’m sure that there will always be the same group of “concerned” people who will disagree with it, simply because Speed Kills and nothing else matters. Won’t someone think of the children?

I’m posting a link to a video that is on a site that “at times” has some pretty full on stuff on it, so be warned.

I’m sure that most people here would agree with pretty much everything in this video, I just thought that I’d post it up here to show that there are plenty of people in other countries who can see through the government BS and are willing to stand up to them.

The video is worth a look.

OMG - some one with a brain

Best quote:

Parker study in the US.

crashes went up when the limit went down and crashes went down when they increased the speed limit.

Interesting video, yes. Will it make a difference if we the public make a noise,no!

The only way the people could make a difference is if we ALL banded together. Example: what if no-one paid their vehicle rego, then after we ALL got fined no-one paid their fine. Then we ALL got summoned to court but no-one showed up. There's not enough cops in the land to arrest us all & if there was they wouldn't have the space to keep us all. Plus if we did all show up at court there'd be a line so long it'd stretch up & down the east coast of Aus'!

Government gets what government wants. Simple. We the people are too scared to speak up too.

The narrator clearly has too much time on his hands.

I know. He should just post on forums instead like the rest of us.

I posted this in a speed camera thread. Interesting video, the cop with the gun has no idea.

The best bit.

Great video, great use of facts and studies.
The bit that makes me angry is that nothing will ever happen.

Even when presented with hard facts from studies in to the actual situation, the bean counters still disagree with the engineers and put up speed cameras where it's not beneficial, and continue to lower the speed limits.

That line from the Simpsons really does sum it up.
All arguments to the contrary are null and void as soon as someone mentions children.

It's all about the money, nothing to do with safety, higher limits=less tickets. The state governments would be broke without the revenue from traffic fines.
