Default IRS Shock top mounts

Does anyone have a price and p/n for the above items?

the suspension is clanging, and ill need the new rubbers. Is there a nolathane replacement?

Is there anything similar for the fronts?

Parts numbers are Left-AU25T121B & Right-AU25T120B
The genuine ones are $95 each
Currently finding out if aftermarkets parts are available as mine are also in need of replacement

Had mine done recently during a service at Ford.

Labour $150.00
left mount $83.61
Right mount $83.64? (why 3 cent diff)

Made a world of difference.

i can imagine they would, however, the genuines last up to about 90,000 km.. maybe the nolathane counterpart lasts longer?

I don't think these come in nolathane as i was told at pedders that the shocker mount is a genuine ford part.

Spoke to Pedders and they only know of OEM replacement parts
They are getting back to me regarding aftermarket.
Quoted $290 installed using OEM on both sides

Pedders told me the other week they dont do them. Only ford supply them and ford quoted me 80 dollars a side so 290 fitted sounds alright.

There is only original ford parts,
With a spring compressor,jack and some hand tools you can change them yourself in about 2 hours.Just do one side at a time.

Thats right I've never used a spring compressor for the rear springs on the IRS but the fronts with if not using KingsSuperlows is a MUST.

I don't use a spring compressor for the Forte front either. As long as you undo the top shock nut slowly, releasing the spring energy slowly, you should not have a problem - I still make sure I point the shock assembly away from me when undoing it though, just in case.

$290 by Pedders is better than $316 odd!

The $26 is almost a third of a tank of juice! LOL!

If both of your AU's are on gas though, $26 is about 80% of a tank!

The spring clamps make little difference to removing the spring/shock assembly from the car -but they are designed to be used when undoing the assembly once you have it removed from the car. But, Like I keep saying, You DON"T need them, if you take your time and undo the top shock nut slowly.

i found the fronts to be a sheer pain in the bum to refit the top spring cup on the fronts
but the rears are easily refitable etc.

i also found it difficult to find a spring compressor that would comfortably compress the front springs due to the space between the shock and the spring it self and the diameter of the spring. both my types i had on hand did not fit safetly

What JC was talking about is you can undo the stock factory XR or Ghia/Forte front being careful & slow. But to refit the stock Ghia/Forte front there is now way you can do it safely without a spring compressor & that is a pain doing it. But the Kings super lows drop in & you can drop the washer & nut on without a compressor. If your not wanting to endanger your self when replacing the stock factory front springs remove the strut units out of the car & take them to Pedders or any suspension place that have a hyd spring compressor they will do it for a small charge & its done in a few minutes.

aa thanks for the clarification buickman

i did refit mine once..
undid them outside the car and fired the nut etc into a blanket so it didnt recochet of anything
then assembled it all in the car and lowered the car onto the sprin to compress it etc

Yep - I must admit to never having undone the front forte springs only to refit them. I did refit lows, then superlows, so what you have said above is spot on.

And blackers - I had the same probs with the compressor on the front springs, which is why I only used them once.
