Default Calm Down Fiesta owners !

After reading a thread (which has now been locked)

I think a few members of this forum need to have a bit of an attitude overhaul.

Especially when it starts involving other forum members.

As teki said, we are a ford community, start acting like we are part of ff.com.au please !

Fair enough, some people drive small cars apart from Fiestas. Does not mean we have to start slagging threads.

Sway, this is not purely aimed at you. Im guilty of this too in the past. I think its just getting the the point where its getting a little too silly...

We need to start being more positive, and less aggressive. I think we will all get along much much better..

Just a thought !!!

:eclipsee_ Happy driving !!!! : Happy Chatting !!!!

Agreed & accept partial blame for that thread getting out of hand. I will say though that everyone who posted on that thread apart from one guy seemed to support the thread.

So I won't slag other brands anymore.

you posted a thread about breaking road laws and no doubt noise pollution laws as if it was some great feat of engineering and investment, and a reflection on yourself as a Master of the Universe. You shouldnt be surprised you got taken to task for it.

I've already said sorry for what has occured, despite not feeling like I was in the wrong.

What else can I do?

Very well put mitch. We are car enthusiats and should start acting like them and having e-***** and car-***** contents isn't the way to do it.

In defence of Sway he just got his system so I don't blame him for giving it some at lights. I did it all the time hell calm down when he realises hes slowling losing his hearing (like me :( )

While Sway's Post conveyed to an extent a little immaturity and made some of us cringe, I beleive that he is a valued member of the Fiesta Forum. He participates in everything and has fitted in well.

Success here I think is a two way street. All hell broke loose in that thread once the "gay" and "girls car" comment was downhanded by another member. I have to say that there should be a concerted effort to improve not only OUR collective attitudes, but the attitudes of other people towards who and what we are and represent as a group. We dont like being called Gay as much as you dont like being called cubic inches all brawn and no brains Neanderthals.

Fiesta, Falcon, Territory Focus. They are all Fords. WE ALL support the one marque. We shouldn't be slagging each other off and resorting to stereotypes such as those shown in the locked thread. It's time people respected us for our choice of Automobile, and time we respected others for their respective opinions. Lets get along guys & gals.

After a few deep breaths, I've figured out how to put people on my "ignore list".

This will mean less sledging from me :

Argh - thanks! I wasn't sure previously... so I used to PM mods. Good work!

Gammaboy; there is sarcasm, and then there are insults.

Your basically just saying your using sarcasm. It's like me saying "Your car is crap... just kidding", when I believe it really is.
