Default This Song will always remind me of this sad day in Ford Australia's history

I've changed the lyrics a little to suit...

Hey True Blue, don't say you've gone
Say you've knocked off for a smoko
And you'll be back later on
Hey True Blue, Hey Ford Blue

Give it to me straight, car to face
Are you really disappearing
Just another dying base
Hey True Blue

True Blue, it was me and you
It was six or eight, is was a turbo too
It was driving' with you mate that was such delight

They made you right
True Blue, I'm driving you!

Hey True Blue, you could take the load
I will fix you up with wire
Just to keep my Barra on the road
Hey True Blue
Hey there Ford, now be Fair Dinkum

Was your heart still there?
When they sold us out to South East Asia
Did you really care?
Hey True Blue

I would love to make a music video with someone singing those words and showing all the great Falcon models ever made, the workers, the factories, etc. (Just for personal use).

G'day BAXRSIX , I like the way you think...Not a bad set of lyrics either...
Gee it'd be awesome if it could be done...It's a great song anyway but the Ford tie in is terrific....Cheers Rod..

There's already a song by The Angels called "Am I ever gunna see your face again" and you can hear the govornment pipe in partway through the chorus.
Usually the part not heard on the radio version...

Nice lyrics though OP, that is pretty cool.

Alex Lloyd - Amazing gets me every time. Picturing Territory in its heyday, beside BA Falcon, those were the days. And the bit when it goes "when all you want to do is walk, and you don't wanna bear the shock no more, when it's just swell that fills your eyes, belated feelings that you have denied", "and now the wolf is at the door, just like a thousand times before, but you don't want to see the end", "cause you were amazing, and we did amazing things, and I wouldn't change it, cause we were amazing", "and I really didn't want to end this way, but the things we put behind are the things that seem to bind us on this day". All relevant phrases to the Falcon and Territory stories and the brilliant minds and hands that put these wonderful vehicles together.
