I'm in for the Sydney show. Had tickets a few years ago when the tour got cancelled, this one looks like it's doing good business though. Motley Rule....

While I can easily afford it, I just won't go out of principal. $159 to see a bunch of hasbeens? No thanks. Like I said earlier, I saw Anthrax and Mortal Sin for $60 at the beginning of this month.. that's a fair price for an international act.

We keep paying this sort of money for bands, the price is only going to go up.

$60 for Anthrax and Mortal Sin, at the Palace with just the bands, a no frills gig. I saw Anthrax for $40 in '91 and even then, their idea of stage show extras was a moving clock from the cover of "Persistance of Time". $40 then is a lot more than $60 now.

Much bigger venue, Crue + Motorhead, a circus tent, fire breathing midgets, 360 degree rotating drum kits, etc? $60 is fair to pay for a gig. $159 is a fair to pay for a big 'show'.

Given $159 covers two bands worth paying $80 for - it works out very nicely.

I guess I go to a gig to watch a band play music, not bollocksy gimmicks. I don't care about fire breathing midgets and rotating drum kits.

I'd pay $80 any day of the week to see either of the bands, show or not.

Don't go, i'll be able to see better if there's no-one else in my way!

Fine but you're still ignoring the fact this gig has TWO international acts with a profile bigger than Anthrax playing.

I go to local gigs and pay $10, but I don't expect therefore Anthrax should have been much less than $60... It's all relative.
